Club Patron Gordon McGeary
Blue was the first choice of tie colour for the uniform with red coming in as second choice. After debate the red tie was chosen as the committee felt it would be more visible and have a greater visual impact at gymkhanas.
Membership fees set in 1969 were, Senior Members – $2.00, Associate Members – $1.50 & Junior Members – $1.00.
A sub-committee was formed for the organisation of the gymkhana being Barry Embrey, W (Bill) Ware, Graham Wass, Mrs Evers, E (Ted) Mantton, Mrs Ruth Wass and Mrs Ross. The First gymkhana was held in April 1970 and was considered a “most successful” gymkhana.
